Real Butterfly Wing Necklace - Amber Phantom Butterflies - Baltic Amber Gold Chain

Stunning butterfly wing necklace, in a statement piece that nods to the proper anatomical formation of this sacred species. Made from carefully preserved real amber phantom butterfly (Haetera piera) wings. The delicate veining across the wings is subtle design perfection. Tiny eyes are subtle elegant camouflage. Baltic amber centers the piece, and reflects the metallic strands throughout the wing, flashing angelic aura vibes. Gold cable chain with lobster claw clasp. 18" overall necklace length, including wing span.

The wings have been preserved through an intricate process leaving them waterproof and similar in wear and care to eyeglass lenses, while retaining the delicate edges through meticulous artist skill.

Jewelry-grade Bio-epoxy

A highly specialized, sustainable, eco-friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based resins. Formulated with plant-based, bio-derived and waste-stream materials, it contains more than 30% renewable content. Material sources include soy, pine, or cashew nut shell liquids. Jewelry-grade bio-epoxy offers high clarity, low toxicity, and excellent durability, making it a preferred choice for crafting sustainable heritage quality art, while reducing reliance on petroleum-based products. VOC free. Crystal-clear finish with a high-gloss, glass-like sheen. Superior non-yellowing (UV resistant) properties, tensile strength, adhesive properties, and impact resistance, compared to traditional petroleum-based epoxies. Includes HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) to prevent yellowing. Waterproof.

Bio-epoxy is seen as a preservation and amplification binder for the properties of the natural elements it's bonded to. It acts as a 'lock' holding these energies steady, while preserving and grounding them.

Gold

A valuable dense, soft metal widely used for its conductivity, resistance to corrosion, unique physical properties and beauty. Gold is the most malleable and ductile metal, meaning it can be tamped extremely thin to the point of semi-transparent or drawn into long fine wires. With a similar density to tungsten, it is known for its heaviness for the size. While pure gold is too soft for most applications without an alloy for strength, which changes the color of the reddish-gold material accordingly: white (nickel/palladium), rose (copper), green (silver), or blue/purple (iron/aluminum).

An 'illuminating' metal associated with prosperity, wealth and high energy. Brings stability, happiness and purification to the wearer. Associated with the heart, promoting love and compassion. Gold is linked to the Sun in many traditions, highlighting vitality and consciousness.

Brass

A distinctive metal with a bright luster, and high corrosion resistance, especially against air and water. Brass is a natural germicidal metal that can eliminate bacteria, viruses and micro-organisms on contact. Malleable enough to form and machine easily, yet sturdy enough to hold its shape well.
Brass may leave a green or blue stain on the skin due to its reaction with sweat, which is non-toxic and easily washed off.
Brass colors range from deep red (high copper) to bright gold (standard mix) and silvery-white (high zinc/nickel). Colors are controlled by adjusting the copper-zinc ratio, and adding elements to change hue, strength and corrosion resistance.
Red Brass (Reddish-Gold): Contains roughly 85% or more copper and less than 15% zinc.
Yellow Brass (Golden-Yellow): Contains approximately 60-70% copper and 30-40% zinc.
White Brass (Silvery-White): Contains higher amounts of zinc or added nickel.
Antique Brass (Dark Brown/Black): Achieved through chemical treatment (patination) or natural aging.

A conduit for positive energy that has the ability to clear the path for courage, growth and the stimulation of personal truth. Brass is often used to attract wealth and prosperity, and in rituals to ward off negative energy. It is believed to boost the immune system.

Amber

A fossilized hardened resin from ancient pine trees, generally 30 to 90 million years old. Prized for millennia for its beauty and perceived healing powers. A pine-like fragrance can be smelled from heat and friction on the stone, and it generally feels warm to the touch, unlike mineral gemstones. Amber has a very low density, and will float in saltwater. This fossilized amorphous (non-crystalized) sap often includes insects and other inclusions, within its golden and sometimes blue-green colored wonder.
Baltic Amber: Most common, often containing high levels of succinic acid.
Dominican Amber: Known for its transparency and rare blue varieties.
"Bony" Amber: A type of amber that is cloudy due to numerous tiny bubbles.
Pressed Amber (Ambroid): Small, heated, and compressed fragments of amber.

Known as a powerful cleanser and purifier that changes energies for the positive, promoting optimism and joy. Amber contains a grounding energy that reduces stress.
