Leaded Crystal

Mohs Scale 5 to 6

Known as both leaded crystal and leaded glass, typically it has 24-30% or more silica mix added to increase brilliance, density and sound resonance. This creates a 'fire' or prism effect, and is characterized by a long melodic ringing when tapped. Heavier, more brilliant and denser than glass, it is also easier to cut and facet, allowing for intricacy.

Used to amplify energy, bring clarity, 'sparkle' and joy, while dispersing negative energy. Often associated with the Crown Chakra due to its clarity and light-bending properties. Leaded crystal is also associated with the Heart Chakra and emotional clarity.

Used for decorative and functional tableware, optics lenses for binoculars and telescopes. It is often used as a radiation shield for medical X-rays and in nuclear facilities. It is also used in electronic components due to its high resistance.
