A popular soft opaque white borate mineral, often characterized by grey or black web-like veining. This monoclinic-prismatic mineral forms in evaporite deposits, often in cauliflower-shaped nodules. Sometimes referred to as White Buffalo, Sacred Buffalo or White Turquoise symbolizing wisdom and peace.

Known as a stone of calm, patience and mental clarity. It is believed to reduce anger, stress and anxiety. Used in meditation to aid memory and recall dreams. Symbolizes purity, emotional expression and calm.

Highly valued in jewelry and for stone carving. Can be dyed an array of colors.

Use & Care

Use: Method: Use lukewarm water and mild (detergent free) soap. Action: Gently rub with a soft cloth. Drying: Crucial. Immediately pat dry with a soft lint-free cloth. Do not air-dry, as residual moisture can damage porous stones over time. Avoid: Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners, which can cause fractures and strip some colors.
